St. Patrick’s Weekend
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day for a whole weekend here at Dive Bar!
St. Patrick’s Day is coming up and we have so much fun each year, we had to turn it into a three-day party! Get ready for Columbia’s biggest St. Patrick’s Weekend Bash at Dive Bar!!
You know our love of 5-star food here at Dive Bar. For the last few years, we’ve offered either shepherd’s pie or corned beef & cabbage as a feature dinner. This year we are offering both and not just for dinner, but for brunch and lunch too!
The party starts on Friday evening with our food features and live music. If you’ve been to Dive Bar you’ve heard of the talented Jim Quisenberry. He will be kicking off the night at 5pm. West End Junction is to follow at 8pm. You do not want to miss this one!
“West End Junction is a folk-rock duo from St. Louis, MO, comprised of Cara Ristau (vocals, keyboard) and Dan Ristau (guitar). The pair met in 2014 in a south St. Louis apartment jam session through mutual friends. Unable to stay away from the music that brought them together, they created the name West End Junction in 2019.”
Their music, heavily influenced by folk….
“Their music, heavily influenced by folk, Americana, and indie country, has been described as “haunting” by Gesso Magazine and “ethereal” by Grateful Web. Lyricist Cara Ristau’s words often reflect themes around social justice and spiritualism with a particular focus on climate change. Known around St. Louis for their onstage chemistry, they play often at a variety of local venues including listening rooms, breweries, and farmer’s markets.”
Saturday the St. Patrick’s celebrations continue when we open at 10am for brunch. Don’t forget you can expect corned beef & cabbage as well as shepherd’s pie on the menu! That evening we have live music by Columbia’s own, The Diddy Wah Daddies. This show runs from 8-11pm and there is never a cover charge for live music at Dive Bar.

Since we pride ourselves on having one of the best spirits selections in town, we are no stranger to Irish whiskeys. We have quite the array behind our bar! In addition to our St. Patrick’s Day themed dinner features, this party is the prime time to try an Irish Coffee, or at least a shot of Jameson! We do however recommend giving the Proper Twelve a try with coffee. Or try the Redbreast 12 Year served neat or on the rocks.

But wait, the St. Patrick’s Day party doesn’t end on Saturday night, it continues into Sunday! Join us for a proper party for brunch starting at 10am. Whether you can make a Dive Bar weekend of it or you join us for a small part, we promise you’ll feel like family. We can’t wait to see you!
